I am a PhD Candidate in Information Systems at UMBC, My dissertation explores group cognition theories to further the understanding of collaborative computing in the healthcare environment. The theoretical contribution will be the development of improved models of communication and knowledge transfer among medical staff and information systems, and the practical contribution shall be innovative techniques for user requirements gathering and systems design of future medical information systems.
